I'm having the same problem. I'm not adding spaces and my name isn't too long, it just won't allow me to insert the emoji.

SOO, I've tried using a letter or number first, haven't gone outside the 4-15 characters includeing spaces and symbols, etc.
I'm following all the guidelines.. have rebooted my phone, and when I open imobster I get the same screen - no option to exit anything.
I've tried a few different names incase its thinking I'm using someone elses.. there is NO way I am doing anything wrong from what I see....

Idk what to tell you. When I changed my name it let me use emoji, storm8 probably changed it.

Getting the same problem...maybe Storm8 caught on and isn't allowing it anymore

Can you use the emoji symbols when typing something like a "NOTE" (an app that came standard on the iPhone) or in an ingame comment?

If answer is "no", then I suspect you are using Spell Number v1.04 which is rumored to have disabled the emoji easter egg (or at least the new code for the easter egg has changed and no one knows it yet).

If answer is "yes", then I guess it's just a Storm8 limit for names. Maybe the particular emoji you're trying to insert is not allowed because of a character in it (meaning maybe a different emoji symbol will work).

I'm also having the same problem. I'm following all the rules, name isn't too long, all characters are all valid, etc. etc. and I'm *still* getting an invalid name as a response. I can use emoji characters in posts just fine.

And I know storm8 hasn't disabled the functionality because I've seen people continue to add emoji to their names. No, there is something wrong here... I'm using a 3GS, perhaps it has something to do with that model of phone? Is anyone else with a 3GS getting this problem? Is anyone with one of the other two models encountering this problem?

I followed dude's directions, like 20 mintues ago, worked just fine for me. I am curious as to why you have to use the spellchecker app thing in the first place? i have 3gs. Thanks by the way, very helpful

Hey guys. I have emoji and have previously used them in my name. However, yesterday I went to change it and it didn't work saying that you can't use symbols in your name. Any advice?

So i downloaded Spell Number (great description on how to do that BTW)
Enabled emoji, all works fine.
Go into Kingdoms and into the Ancients section, and it says its gonna cost me 30 Legend points to change my name??
Is there any other way, (or any quick and easy and preferably free way) to do this other than buying Legend points?
